DATA LOGGING & SPREADSHEETS Here you can see data collected by WattsVIEW® during an to charge a Duracell battery powerpack using a pedal power bicycle generator. The powerpack has a 28 Amp Hour AGM. AGM stands for "absorbed glass mat" which equates to being a sealed / non spillable battery. This data Logging Software saves data to your computer hard drive at a rate 1 sample per second up to 1 sample per hour. The data is stored into a tab delimited text file like the one shown HERE. |

Power Monitoring (Volts, Amps, Watts) Sample Data Log
File Below is data from an actual log file created by WattsVIEW® Data Logging Software. You can copy this data and paste it into Microsoft Xcel or any other spreadsheet program to create your own graphs and perform analysis. You can tell by the stamps that the sampling interval was set at a logging interval of about once per second. The last column in the table provides a very accurate time stamp - giving you more resolution than the typical time stamp. |

DC-10,000W POWER SENSOR SPECIFICATIONS
NOTE: This sensor is not calibrated and is for indication only. The current measurement only accurate if you take time
to zero it out and check the calibration with a known good current source. The same goes for the voltage measurement.

The power monitor sensors with serial numbers higher than 20100422001 have
the
following command structure and functionality for the firmware running on the
PIC controller. These are units that are sold after May10th. If you
want your PIC firmware upgraded to the latest version, then you will need to pay
shipping costs with no additional charges. Send an email to firmware
upgrade to get shipping info for the upgrade. These would be the last
shipment of 20 Power Monitors I sent the other day.
The commands do not echo as they are typed. Any wrong character will be
ignored and the command reset. No backspaces will be processed.
The output of the power monitor is suppressed while command parsing is
being performed. This can be used to halt output. Sending a C will stop
the output and another C (invalid command) will reset command parser and
output will resume.
Command Structure (All upper case)
==============
First char:
C = command start character
Second char:
G or S = Get and Set respectively
Third char:
S = Serial number
Z = Zero watt-hours
A = Allow serial number change
Examples
========
CGS Returns the serial number
CSZ Zeros the watt-hours (Command Set Zero)
